Primary Purpose:
Under general supervision perform assigned duties which include but are not limited to, issuing parts for work orders, keeping accurate records for work order maintenance, following District procedures for purchasing and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas driver’s license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Basic understanding of computer systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations
Experience:
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Receive and inspect all incoming materials and parts received by the warehouse and verify correct amounts with purchase order and shipping receipts.
- Reconcile and complete purchase order request in warehouse inventory program.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain clean and orderly storage of materials, labeling of shelves and locations in warehouse
- Operation of any equipment needed for receipt of materials and daily operation including daily trips to vendors for materials not shipped directly to the warehouse.
- Assist the warehouse assistant as needed for the distribution of materials.
- Must hold and maintain a current and valid Texas driver’s license.
- Maintain accurate records for proper completion of work orders (such as labor and material costs).
- Maintain and demonstrate an attitude of quality service, and teamwork, and good public relations and communications with co-workers, supervisors, and district employees at the various facility sites.
- Follow instructions, be able to prioritize work orders and analyze data.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and around moving objects or vehicles. Exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals (herbicides and fertilizer), and loud noises. Frequent districtwide travel.
