JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide coaching and support to school administrators, teachers, and other school personnel on campuses throughout ECISD for identification in areas of need for students who are in the MTSS process. Assist with intervention concepts and implementation for behavior when needed. Assist school personnel by staying adept to current research-based behavior interventions that meet targeted student needs. The support provided to campuses will vary based on the needs of classroom management, intervention behavior strategies, and behavioral support. The MTSS Behavior coordinator is responsible for improving the skills and expertise of school personnel to develop, implement, and sustain the district adopted student management system. The MTSS Behavior Coordinator will work alongside with the MTSS Academic Coordinator, oversee the District MTSS Committee and the campus MTSS leads.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university recognized by the US Department of Education (Master’s degree preferred)
- External candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by employee
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge of research related to positive behavioral interventions and supports at all three tiers
- Experience planning and conducting professional development/training
- Demonstrated leadership and project organizational skills (planning, implementing, and evaluation)
- Ability to work collaboratively with various groups and gain consensus related to project implementation and other problem solving
- Experience in data-based decision making
- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with individuals, teams, and groups (teachers, parents, administrators and support staff)
- Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and plan and schedule priorities accordingly
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate sustainability and expansion of student management system practices
- Train campus leads on district student management system and practices
- Provide and/or facilitate quality training for all tiers behavior support with campus interventionists and classroom teachers on best practices for behavior support
- Oversee district level data collection, management and analysis
- Collect and monitor school and district databases to track and analyze student behavioral data including office discipline referrals, suspensions, team implementation, coach assessment of school-wide implementation, and climate survey patterns.
- Develop collaboration with multiple district departments and initiatives
- Ongoing coaching of school-based leadership teams
- Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Maintain emotional control under stress. Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job. Frequent District-wide travel.
