Job Title: Part Time OPT Summer Learning Apprentice Wage/Hour Status: $20.00 Per Hour

Dept. /School: Odessa Pathway to Teaching Days: Part-Time
Supervises: None
Primary Purpose: OPT Summer Learning Apprentices help provide quality, engaging instruction to ensure that Summer Learning is a productive, positive experience for all students.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Previous admission into the Odessa Pathway to Teaching Cohort C
Special Knowledge Skills:
- Critical, constructive thinker willing to learn to adapt to the changing needs of all students
- Ability to effectively use technology to deliver instruction, communicate with stakeholders, and be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff, students, and community groups
Experience:
- 30 + hours of documented Field-Based Experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor student work assigned and provide feedback to the student
- Support implementation and engagement of students in the instructional program
- Submit lesson plans as required by OPT / Mentor Teacher
- Supervise students as assigned
- Maintain professional relationships with parents, students, co-workers, and other stakeholders
- Assist in providing instruction to assigned students
