Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Master’s degree
- Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate
- Certified Texas-Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser
Special Knowledge Skills:
- Thorough understanding of school operations
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to instruct students and promote positive behaviors
- Experience using technology to improve teaching and learning
- Excellent knowledge of computer applications (multi-platform preferred)
- Knowledge of Project Based Learning and TEKS
- Knowledge of the New Tech model and design
Experience:
- Three years’ campus or central office administrative experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead campus in continuous improvement of education for all students.
- Provide instructional leadership for high school programs.
- Collaborate with principal, teachers, and parents in assessing and planning improvement in the school.
- Provide leadership in professional growth and development.
- Oversee campus procedures for grading and reporting.
- Oversee campus data management and instructional technology.
- Oversee campus assessment, (EOC, AP, RTI, TELPAS, etc.)
- Monitor assessment results for the campus.
- Coordinate the development of course guidebook.
- Coordinate the development of the master schedule.
- Systematically monitor program activities; use evaluative findings to determine the quality of instructional outcomes related to programs and services.
- Participate in the recruiting/screening/interviewing of quality professional staff.
- Participate in the recruiting and screening of potential learners.
- Administer student management program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours. Frequent walking, some stopping, bending, reaching, and stairs.
